Chris learned of her love for baking and decorating cakes a few years ago
while attending Pastry School at the College of DuPage.
Chris continues to learn the craft under the expert instruction of Chef Donna
Wagner, an instructor and custom cake shop owner with 20+ years
experience. She also has had the honor of learning new techniques from
various accomplished chef's, including renowned author and Food Network
Challenge winner Collete Peters.
Chris entered her first cake competition at the North Aurora River District
Alliance's "That Takes the Cake" competition in April 2011 and took 1st place
in her category.
Chris is certified by the Illinois Department of Public Health and all of her
cakes are baked out of a licensed, commercial shared-use kitchen located
in Elgin, IL. She is also a member of ICES (International Cake Exploration
Societè)
